Senior Broadcast Producer, Morning in America, NewsNation, Chicago, IL June 2023-Present
· Oversee Morning in America’s entire night-before operation, typical day is 11am-11pm
· Assign correspondent stories and field producers, prepare coverage note with details for each story to be sent out network-wide
· Interact with Nexstar affiliate stations and reporters to coordinate live shots, looklives, and any other coverage to give NewsNation an on-the-ground presence
· Assign segment producers to guest interview segments; provide them with sufficient research, guidance, and direction to understand the vision of each segment and begin producing it
· Lead nightly call with overnight producers to brief them on the following morning’s show, answer any questions
· Lead nightly call with segment producers walking through each segment one-by-one, fostering a group discussion on the main focal points of the story, and encouraging every member of the team to offer their opinions, ideas, and feedback.
· Regularly produce 1 to 2 guest segments when the team is short-staffed
· Approve all correspondent scripts, all guest interview scripts/questions, all lower third, fullscreen, and monitor graphics
· Pivot correspondents, re-arrange rundowns, and coordinate with the assignment desk in the event of breaking news
· One of a handful of producers chosen to play a major role in the network’s election night coverage; assisted with race calls and getting up-to-date graphics to air as quickly as possible
· Singlehandedly performing the tasks that were shared among three people when I first joined the show

· Manage rundowns for entire broadcast: decide order of show stacking, assign producers to individual segments, check every line for mistakes and memorize what elements are included for specific guest segments to be able to call for them during interviews
· Check all lower third, fullscreen, monitor, and any other graphics for typos and give suggestions to improve urgency/buzziness
· Serve as main point of contact during breaking news: immediately delegate tasks to producers and talent, write scripts in a matter of minutes to be turned around and read on-air, update lower thirds to reflect newest information (especially during live press conferences)
· Write most if not all questions for anchor to ask live guests, usually between 7-10 segments per day, then go through questions and other important talking points with anchor before air
· Regularly produce segments or reporter hits, often required to write entire scripts or cut significant amounts of video
Supervising Producer, NewsNation, Chicago, IL June 2020-December 2021
· Oversee production of one of three hours of NewsNation’s weekend primetime broadcast
· Stack entire hour of programming, brainstorming ideas for unique content to differentiate from other hours
· Write scripts for show opens, reporter tosses, and teases at ends of blocks
· Place work orders for custom graphics for monitors and fullscreens, working with design team to fine tune graphics

Design state-of-the-art security systems including CCTV, access control, and video intercoms for a wide range of commercial, industrial and multi-family facilities.
· Oversee the entire installation process from pre-design to end-user system training.

News Producer, WPLG-TV, Miami, FL, September 2016- September 2018
Assembled and built the 9:00 A.M. live news hour, one of only eight daily productions broadcast, in one of the top media markets in the United States. Responsibilities included choosing which stories would be aired, deciding which graphics to incorporate for each story and writing almost all scripts. Presided over the show from the production booth by directing anchors, reporters and technical staff. During my tenure the 9:00 a.m. newscast was consistently the #1 news program in its time window.
· Covered breaking news locally, nationally and internationally. Stories covered include Hurricane Irma, the Death of Fidel Castro, the deadly attack at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, and Pulse Nightclub shooting.
· Coordinated weekly on-air segments featuring guests including representatives from local animal shelters, best-selling restaurants, entertainment venues, and sports teams. Researched background information for segments, selected and built graphics, scripted production cues.
· Posted segments from 9 a.m. newscast to Local10.com and corresponding social media pages.
· Built and wrote scripts for daily “Healthcast” segment that aired in the 4:00 p.m. broadcast.

Wrote concise news scripts and built graphics used in live broadcasts.
Wrote and posted articles to Local10.com and Local 10 social media pages.
· Covered Miami Dolphins and Miami Heat games: assisted crews with setup, conducted locker room interviews with players and coaches, and wrote deadline-sensitive game summary scripts that were posted online.
· Produced weekend morning broadcasts and weekday 4:30 a.m. broadcast when needed.
